The bullet would be wrapped in a paper patch and used in a. 441" calibre bullet mould with hollow base. Stamped "6" on one side and "WD" on the other side for William Davis who was one of the best 19th Century mould makers. A rare mould.Ī 6 gang ball mould casting six balls of about 120 Bore (.32"). Probably for a Calisher & Terry rifle or carbine as they were usually produced in 30 bore.
